JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the leadership and management of assigned Branch. Includes leading a team of
tree care professionals, driving revenue growth, and developing and retaining client relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, horticulture or other related degrees or equivalent in years of experience.
Experience
- At least 10 years of professional tree work experience
- At least 5 years people management experience
License or Certification
- As required by law
- Valid driver’s license issued by the state where employed
- Valid ISA Certified Arborist certification is required
- Valid CPR certification is required
- Valid Flagger and Traffic Control Technician license is strongly preferred
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
- Valid ISA TRAQ certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
- Valid TCIA Certified Tree care Safety Professional (CTSP) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
Specialized Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
- Sound knowledge of the safe operation of tree care tools and equipment and industry standards.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with commercial property managers a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under tight deadlines.
- Flexibility.
- Advanced tree care principles, pruning techniques, tree ID, and disease ID
- Advanced understanding and execution of Tree Climbing (above 15’ft), Rigging, Single Rope Techniques(SRT), knots and rope operation, traversing, aerial lift operation, and emergency tree recue procedures
- Aerial Rescue trained; safe work practices; proper PPE; hazard recognition; underground locate procedures; and tree removal techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge and safe use of all Aerial Lifts and Bucket Trucks
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills, ensuring client needs are met in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion by demonstrating courtesy, efficiency, and
professionalism
- Must understand basic chemical usage and ensure that SDS sheets for all chemicals being used are in compliance
- Ability to speak effectively before employees and customers
- Ability to verbally understand and communicate in English
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring that all services are delivered to a high standard and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Manage and motivate a team of tree care professionals, ensuring that staff are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties.
- Ability to sell and maintain sales pipeline to fill the gap of missing or underperforming sales personnel and or capacity.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure that the branch is meeting its financial targets.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that services are being delivered to a high standard and that any issues are identified and addressed promptly.
- Draft and present annual budgets and quarterly business reviews.
- Review and monitor equipment maintenance programs and recommend capital investments.
- Ensure timely and effective action is taken on all sales lead opportunities.
- Develop and maintain an effective interface between sales, operations and customers to ensure successful on-boarding and retention of new business.
- Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and conferences to build the company's profile and network with potential clients and partners.
- Champion Monarch safety practices and goals through leadership and participation in Branch safety meetings, weekly safety calls, safety appreciation events, etc.
- Responsible for creating contemporaneous, prompt, and thorough documentation of all coaching, conversations, counseling, and performance management discussions with employees.
- Solves customer problems quickly and effectively, with adequate follow-up
- As needed oversees the scheduling of daily work, assignment of daily tasks to arbor production staff and ensure timely completion according to contract, quality standards, and budget terms.
- As needed facilitates training programs to employees and helps encourage employees to obtain certifications by fostering a positive coaching environment
- As needed educate public and customers on work being performed

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.
Pay range: $105,000 - $135,000
