JOB SUMMARY
Monarch Landscape Companies is actively pursuing a “Buy and Build” growth strategy and is seeking a high-performing individual to work closely with the Monarch Leadership Team to execute our company’s mergers and acquisitions activities. The Senior Analyst, reporting to Monarch’s Vice President of Corporate Development, will be directly involved in supporting Monarch’s growth strategy through new deal execution and integration; including, but not limited to: general financial analysis, prospect evaluation, financial modeling, valuation and risk analyses, and due diligence coordination. This individual will also analyze industry prospects and acquisition targets by gathering information about growth, competitors, and market sizing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of related experience in transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or other analytical finance and accounting roles
Specialized Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing board and/or executive level strategic and financial presentations
- Strong work ethic with experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment in a structured and organized manner
- Driven, results oriented mindset with a history of perseverance and passion for achieving goals
- Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative and create concise and decision supporting analysis
- Proficient at quantitative and analytical analysis with some financial modeling experience building operational, acquisition, and growth models
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
- High degree of accountability, autonomy, integrity and honesty. Must maintain confidentiality at all times, as this position requires high level of responsibility regarding confidential information
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform and support financial analysis of potential acquisitions and coordination of due diligence
- Develop financial projections & valuation analysis for acquisition targets
- Prepare presentations and reporting to senior management and the Board on potential M&A transactions, capital structure, and strategic growth initiatives
- Assist functional due diligence teams, including Sales & Marketing, Legal, Finance & Accounting, Tax, Human Resources, Operations, IT, Quality, and Regulatory
- Identify and research potential acquisition opportunities through market analysis and interactions with business partners
- Attend and be engaged during relationship development sessions, industry conferences, management presentations, and diligence sessions with potential acquisition targets
- Provide support in negotiations, creation of term sheets and definitive agreements and provide coordination of all transaction documents within the data room
- Support hand-off to integration team
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve tools used in the due diligence and acquisition pipeline management process
- Monitor past acquisition metrics
- Monitor broader M&A landscape to keep senior management and the Board apprised of recent competitor transactions
- Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, and additional responsibilities as required

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
