JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the accurate and timely estimation of Arbor projects. Assists in ensuring expected results are met on multiple projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional tree work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Arboriculture

License or Certification

  • Valid driver’s license issued by the state where employed
  • Valid ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred

Specialized Skills

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
  • Deal with standardized situations and/or hectic situations with calm reasoning skills
  • Understands how to calculate load ratings for tree removal rigging
  • Knowledge of tree care principles, pruning techniques, tree ID, and disease ID
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings
  • Can formulate and calculate unit costing for bidding
  • Understands gross margin and what effects it
  • Ability to speak effectively before employees and customers
  • Ability to verbally understand and communicate in English
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with GPS systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently to complete multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills, ensuring client needs are met in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion by demonstrating courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism

  • Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Identify and solicit tree service projects, review client objectives and needs, prepare accurate and complete bid estimates
  • Perform inspection and diagnostics of tree care services, including tree removal, stump grinding, and crown clearing/thinning/raising as needed
  • Assist with project schedule, progress, and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget
  • Assist with service calls, client interactions, and sub-contractors as needed
  • Communicate status of estimates to Arbor District Manager on a regular basis
  • Visit jobs in progress to relate actual estimate; review questions, or problems that may arise
  • Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
  • Prepare and process change orders
  • Ensures compliance with all aspects of the company’s safety program and understands the contribution safety makes to employee well-being, team efficiency, and gross profit
  • Add/update project information in CRM software daily
  • Acquire permits
  • Line out crews and communicate project specifications
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay range: $60,000
