We're currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to advance their career. We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic people-person who loves driving sales and meeting goals. The Project Manager will manage client interaction and expectations surrounding long term planning and high-level value-added services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for client retention, annual increases, and enhancement penetration
- Accurately prepare bids, by utilizing field collected data and computer programs, to present to client
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals
- Serve as point-of-contact for high level site and project issues to expeditiously and proactively identify, address, and resolve client needs
- Act as liaison between operations and client, ensuring clarity in communication and expectations
- Conduct walk-throughs with client and other company representatives as appropriate
- Evaluate accounts and develop an effective and on-going landscape asset management plan
- Build a strong knowledge base of each client’s business, organization, and objectives
- Collaborate with Area Managers to maintain a holistic understanding of client sites
- Stay up-to-date on day-to-day site operations and issues to identify trends in need of comprehensive solutions
- Create, manage, and control scope of work, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Manage all project communication between internal and external clients
- Analyze and understand job cost reports and budget variances related to contract projects
- Prepare monthly forecast of labor and materials, and accurate job costing of work orders
- Gather, calculate and compile take off data for use in bid estimates
- Visit jobs in progress to relate actual estimate; review questions or problems that may arise
- Utilize CRM reports to keep estimate priorities and workload organized
- Manage billing process, including communicating change orders, lien releases, progress billing, etc.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with vendors and subcontractors, insuring accountability and quality for price
- Ensure safety on every project by enforcing safety training and meetings, as well as consistently monitor job sites for potential safety hazards
- Constantly promote and encourage adherence to company policies and best practices
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position may have supervisory responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture, Construction/Project Management, or related field; or at least 5 years related work experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the commercial landscape industry preferred
- Knowledge of regional plant life
Field Experience
- Minimum 3 years of field experience with project estimating or design-build work preferred
- Strong estimation background, with working knowledge of construction/installation & irrigation preferred
- Familiar with commercial landscape equipment and their functions
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High aptitude for driving sales
- Strong customer service skills, with internal and external clients
- Effective oral and written communication
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, document management, and cost forecasting
- Ability to read and interpret constructions plans/drawings
- Experience working the commercial property managers, vendors, consultants and architects a plus
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform well under deadlines
- Organizational skills

- Advanced presentation skills
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft OfficeSuite, and Project Management Software
- Experience using design software, including Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and ProLandscape preferred

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.
Pay range: $70,000 - $98,000
